Pride Parade (…and then some)

Pony Pride

It was a fabulous time at Pride last weekend. I might just be recovering. This year the ponies participated with the SF Citadel as part of the Leather Contingent in the Parade. It rocked. The ponies pranced their way down Market St. making their statement to the world.

It seems important to me to support the various aspects of our lives in ways that allow others to view that which we do in a fun, non-threatening way. Perhaps the reason why we call it “play” will eventually be understood. Humans need to play and we also need to be proud of who we are, all aspects of who we are.

Walk in pride!

The week flew along taking me with it. Thankfully it started with a beautiful day with the ponies and leatherfolk at Pride. There were many demands of the week, including, but not limited to working over a contract for my first book to be published, the pony play handbook. The publishing date is set for June 2008. Excellent! Thursday was my debut at “Foot Night.” It was so much fun and I met fabulous people. I’ll definitely have to go back. Check it out at www.footnight.com.

My family has started to arrive for the summer and a few more are moving here for good, tomorrow. It’s great to have them here; however, my lifestyle maybe a bit of a surprise. The plan is to protect them from TMI as much as possible. Friday, my girl friend celebrated her Cajun style 40th birthday party. Except for the part where I fell asleep on the couch when everybody else went to the beach in the middle of the night, it was a blast. Tonight, Saturday, ends the week with the Blue Moon and party at Lady Grey’s house. What a wonderful week filled with wonderful people, including my clients. I’m so blessed.
