It’s Memorial Day and I’ve chosen to reflect on silence. Though I have had my phone off due to spending time with family, it brought me into a profound place of being in the silence and the appropriateness of the timing could not be ignored. I am grateful to the men and women of my country who have died in military service. I am grateful to those who have ensured that I could be a pacifist and live a relatively free life. There is still a long way to go to guarantee freedom, but this is truly an amazing country to live in. So, I relish the silence of reflecting on what is important and the wonders of the life I lead. I thank those who’s spirits’ have gone on and left and their families in silence. In gratitude.
